KCB Bank has partnered with Mastercard to launch the Sahl Card, a Shariah-compliant payment solution designed to provide Islamic banking customers with secure, convenient and values-driven financial services.
The launch forms part of KCB’s broader Sahl Banking proposition and is accompanied by the rollout of the Sahl Agency Banking network, enabling customers to deposit funds, withdraw cash, make payments and access other banking services through a network of agents.
Developed in line with Islamic finance principles, the Sahl Card is designed to support everyday transactions while remaining compliant with Shariah banking practices. Eligible customers will also benefit from Mastercard’s lifestyle and travel offerings, including access to The Mastercard Collection, exclusive travel, dining and shopping privileges, spend management controls, transaction alerts and concierge services.
According to KCB and Mastercard, the partnership aims to expand access to inclusive, values-based financial solutions while meeting the evolving needs of customers seeking Shariah-compliant banking services.
The launch reflects growing efforts by financial institutions to broaden Islamic banking offerings through innovative payment solutions that combine convenience, security and access to global digital payment networks.
