Kenya has reaffirmed its commitment to accelerating the implementation of the Digital Superhighway programme as part of broader efforts to expand digital infrastructure and strengthen access to technology-enabled public services.
During a briefing with Chief of Staff and Head of the Public Service Felix Koskei, Principal Secretary for ICT and Digital Economy John Kipchumba Tanui provided an update on the rollout of key initiatives, including Digital Hubs, broadband expansion and nationwide digital infrastructure development.
According to the State Department of ICT and Digital Economy, the programme is helping improve access to public services while creating opportunities for digital skills development, online employment, innovation and entrepreneurship across the country.
The government said continued collaboration between public sector agencies will be critical to ensuring the successful implementation of the Digital Superhighway programme and advancing Kenya’s vision of a more inclusive and globally competitive digital economy.
