Kenya Airways is partnering with Sabre and Branchspace to modernise its reservations, ticketing and digital commerce systems as the airline works to improve how customers book, manage and experience their journeys.
The airline has selected Sabre to replace its core reservations and ticketing platform, which has supported Kenya Airways’ bookings, inventory management and airport check-in operations for more than two decades.
The new Sabre platform, built on Sabre Mosaic, will serve as the airline’s operational and commercial backbone. It includes Mosaic Offer Optimisation, which uses continuous learning and dynamic pricing to better align available offers with traveller demand.
Alongside the Sabre implementation, Kenya Airways has appointed Branchspace, a travel technology and consulting firm, to develop the digital commerce layer that customers will interact with directly. The two platforms will be delivered together as part of the airline’s broader digital transformation.
Branchspace’s Triplake platform will serve as Kenya Airways’ primary digital customer touchpoint from the initial launch. It will give the airline’s commercial teams greater control over personalised offers across booking channels, while the underlying technology moves towards an offer-and-order model.
The new platform is expected to provide customers with more tailored fares and ancillary options, easier ways to bundle different components of a trip and a smoother mobile and digital booking experience.
Kenya Airways customers will also be able to access improved self-service tools, while members of the Asante Rewards programme are expected to receive an upgraded rewards experience.
The airline also expects faster airport check-in and improved real-time rebooking capabilities when disruptions affect travel plans. These changes are designed to give passengers greater control over their journeys while enabling the airline to respond more quickly to changing travel needs.
The collaboration represents a major technology shift for Kenya Airways as it replaces a reservations and ticketing system that has been at the centre of its operations for more than 20 years.
By combining Sabre’s airline technology with Branchspace’s digital commerce platform, Kenya Airways is positioning its booking infrastructure around more personalised offers, digital self-service and more flexible travel management.
