Namelok Wireless has launched a community network in Kimuka, along the Ngong–Suswa Road in Kenya, to expand access to affordable and reliable internet services for residents, public institutions and local businesses.
The network is designed to provide connectivity to public schools, government offices, health facilities and micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the area.
According to the company, the initiative is expected to support digital learning by improving access to online educational resources. It is also intended to improve access to online health information and services while strengthening the delivery of public services.
For local businesses, the network will provide connectivity to support the use of digital tools, helping them reach new markets, improve operational efficiency and expand their activities.
Namelok Wireless said the project demonstrates the role of community-led connectivity solutions in extending internet access to underserved areas and supporting inclusive social and economic development.
