Stanbic Kenya Foundation has launched a new Digital Learning Centre at ACK Kiamuringa School in Embu County, expanding access to digital education and strengthening digital inclusion through improved learning infrastructure.
The initiative has equipped the school with 30 computers, establishing its first fully equipped ICT laboratory. The new facility will benefit more than 200 students and 23 teachers while also serving as a community digital hub that provides local youth with access to digital skills training, online learning resources and opportunities to participate in Kenya’s growing digital economy.
The Digital Learning Centre forms part of Stanbic Kenya Foundation’s FutureNiDigital initiative, which has been driving digital literacy across Kenya since 2019. According to the foundation, the programme has already equipped more than 250,000 Kenyans with essential digital skills, contributing to the country’s broader digital inclusion and workforce development efforts.
Beyond supporting classroom learning, the foundation said the investment reflects its commitment to empowering communities through technology by creating more opportunities for learners and young people to acquire future-ready skills that prepare them for an increasingly digital economy.
