The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has donated computers to St Benedict Lugulu Secondary School in Likuyani Constituency, Kakamega County, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme aimed at strengthening digital learning and expanding access to technology in schools.
The initiative is designed to enhance digital education by equipping students with the tools and digital skills needed to participate in Kenya’s rapidly growing digital economy. It supports the country’s broader efforts to improve digital literacy, bridge the digital divide and create more opportunities for technology-enabled learning.
According to the Communications Authority, meaningful connectivity extends beyond providing internet access and devices. It also involves empowering learners with the knowledge and skills required to innovate, create and succeed in an increasingly technology-driven world.
The Authority said the donation reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting digital inclusion by ensuring students have access to modern learning technologies that prepare them for future academic and career opportunities.
As Kenya continues to invest in digital transformation, initiatives like these play an important role in developing a digitally skilled generation capable of contributing to the country’s innovation ecosystem and broader economic growth.
