Happiest Minds Technologies has appointed Jackline Mburu as Senior Director and Business Head for Africa, strengthening the Indian digital engineering and IT services company’s commitment to expanding its presence and accelerating growth across the continent.
Based in Nairobi, Mburu will lead Happiest Minds’ business strategy and market expansion across Africa, working with customers in banking, financial services, insurance, healthcare, retail, manufacturing and the public sector to drive AI adoption, digital transformation, enterprise automation and platform-led innovation.
Mburu brings more than two decades of experience in enterprise technology, digital transformation and business leadership across Africa and the United States. Her career includes leadership roles at Hewlett-Packard, Oracle, Upstream and Metrofile Kenya, where she successfully led the company’s transition from traditional records management to enterprise digitisation, intelligent information management and workflow automation.
Commenting on her appointment, Mburu said Africa is increasingly shaping the future of technology rather than simply adopting it. She highlighted the growing role of artificial intelligence, agentic AI, cloud computing, digital engineering and intelligent automation in enabling organisations to modernise operations, improve customer experiences and build globally competitive digital enterprises.
The appointment also reflects Happiest Minds’ growing investment in Africa by establishing dedicated leadership on the continent. As demand for AI and digital transformation continues to rise, the company aims to strengthen partnerships with African organisations while supporting innovation, enterprise modernisation and sustainable digital growth across key industries.
