The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has donated computers to Kakuma Arid Zone Primary and Junior School in Turkana County, expanding access to digital learning resources for learners in one of Kenya’s most underserved regions.
The donation was made under the Authority’s Corporate Social Responsibility and Investment (CSRI) programme, which seeks to promote digital inclusion by improving access to technology in schools. According to the Communications Authority, the computers will provide learners with practical experience using digital tools while helping them develop foundational ICT skills.
Located in Turkana County, where educational resources continue to face significant challenges, the school is expected to benefit from enhanced digital learning, more interactive classroom experiences and improved digital literacy, preparing learners for future opportunities in the digital economy.
Speaking during the handover ceremony, Jane Rotich, Deputy Director of the Communications Authority’s Western Regional Office, reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to ensuring learners across Kenya have equitable access to digital technologies and learning opportunities.
Kakuma Arid Zone Primary and Junior School is among 23 educational institutions that have recently benefited from the CSRI programme, reflecting the Communications Authority’s continued investment in strengthening ICT education and promoting digital inclusion nationwide.
