Equity Group Foundation is encouraging young Kenyans to use digital technology and artificial intelligence to develop solutions to challenges facing the country as AI continues to reshape workplaces and the skills required to compete in the digital economy.
Equity Bank CEO Dr James Mwangi delivered the message during the 17th annual Education and Leadership Congress at Alliance Girls High School, which brought together 4,949 scholars from Nairobi, Dadaab and Kakuma.
Mwangi told the scholars that academic qualifications alone may not guarantee success, highlighting the growing importance of applying technology to solve real-world problems.
The foundation is positioning digital technology and AI as practical tools that young people can use to develop innovative solutions while preparing for changing opportunities in the workplace.
The emphasis on technology and problem-solving reflects the increasing demand for digital skills as businesses and economies adapt to the growing role of AI.
