Kenyan fintech startup WayaWaya has appointed former Chase Bank Kenya executive Raj Singh as a non-executive director and board adviser, strengthening its leadership team as the company accelerates its growth and expansion strategy.
Singh joins WayaWaya at a pivotal stage as the fintech seeks to deepen partnerships with banks and merchants while scaling its AI-powered financial services platform across Africa and international markets. The company said his appointment will support efforts to strengthen strategic relationships and drive the next phase of its commercial growth.
As a board adviser, Singh will help shape WayaWaya’s long-term strategy, strengthen corporate governance, expand banking partnerships and guide the company’s regional and global expansion plans.
Singh brings more than two decades of experience in banking and financial technology across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Middle East. His career includes senior leadership roles at Chase Bank Kenya, FCMB Nigeria and ICICI Bank, while he currently serves as Managing Director of Rova and advises fintech companies on digital banking and artificial intelligence.
The appointment reflects WayaWaya’s ambition to strengthen its position within the fintech ecosystem as it expands its AI-driven financial services platform and pursues new growth opportunities across Africa and beyond.
