The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has donated a batch of computers to AIC Moi’s Bridge Secondary School in Uasin Gishu County, reinforcing efforts to expand digital learning and improve access to technology for students in underserved communities.
The donation gives learners hands-on access to computers, enabling them to develop practical digital skills that are increasingly essential in Kenya’s education system and the modern economy. The initiative is expected to strengthen the school’s ICT programme while creating more opportunities for students to build future-ready competencies.
Speaking during the handover ceremony, Jane Rotich, Deputy Director of the Communications Authority’s Western Regional Office, said the initiative forms part of the Authority’s broader commitment to promoting digital inclusion by ensuring learners in underserved areas have access to technology and the skills needed to participate in the digital economy.
The computers were provided under the Communications Authority’s Corporate Social Responsibility and Investment programme and will enhance practical ICT learning while supporting students’ academic development and future career opportunities.
The initiative aligns with the Authority’s broader mandate of expanding access to information and communications technology as a public good, contributing to improved digital literacy, inclusive connectivity and equitable access to digital opportunities across Kenya.
